Mantle Cell Lymphoma : Lymph Node

Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) usually presents with generalized lymphadenopathy and bone marrow involvement. The lymphoma cells are arranged in mantle zone, nodular, or diffuse patterns resulting in effacement of the nodal architecture. In the mantle zone pattern, the tumor cells expand the mantle cell cuff around reactive-looking germinal centers. This pattern has to be distinguished from mantle cell and follicular hyperplasia. The nodular pattern may be mistaken for follicular lymphoma. This low power view shows MCL in a cervical lymph node with an ill-defined nodular pattern.
