Tanycytic ependymomas are characterized by long slender cellular processes similar to those seen in pilocytic astrocytomas or schwannomas. The most frequently involved location is spinal cord. Perivascular pseudorosettes are less common than in typical ependymomas. They are WHO Grade II tumors.
