Dysgerminoma : Calcification

Comments:
Dysgerminomas showing calcification usually arise in a background of gonadoblastoma (about 5% of all dysgerminomas). These patients are phenotypic female with gonadal dysgenesis (pure or mixed).

Dysgerminoma vs Seminoma: Both seminoma and dysgerminoma share several features, including clinical behavior, histogenesis, gross and microscopic appearance, immunohistochemical profile, and cytogenetic abnormalities.
