Comments:
In this T2-weighted MRI scan (same case as the previous image), the tumor is slightly hyper intense than the surrounding brain parenchyma. Areas of hemorrhage within the tumor are hypo intense creating a heterogenous appearance. The tumor fills up occipital horn of one of the lateral ventricles. The patient was a 4 month old female who presented with signs of increased intracranial pressure. One of the most common presenting symptoms is macrocephaly. Case produced with permission, courtesy of Dr. Frank Gaillard. Radiopaedia. Complete case is here.
