Glassy Cell Carcinoma of Cervix

Topic: Rare/Unusual Tumors of Cervix

Category: Cervix

slide 2 of 9

Comments:
The tumor shows brisk mitotic activity as seen in this image. A prominent eosinophilic infiltrate is often present in the adjacent stroma. The tumor may show pure glassy cell appearance or may be admixed with areas of squamous cell carcinoma and/or mucin-producing adenocarcinoma. The tumor has poor prognosis.   return to Rare/Unusual Tumors of Cervix
