Intracystic Papillary Carcinoma of Breast

Topic: Papillary Carcinoma

Category: Breast Carcinomas

slide 2 of 13

Comments:
Higher power view of the previous case shows several papillary structures with fibrovascular cores. Features favoring carcinoma are uniformity in the size and shape of epithelial cells, lack of myoepithelial cells, nuclear hyperchromasia, nuclear enlargement, and high mitotic activity. Lack of benign proliferative changes in the adjacent breast also favor carcinoma.   return to Papillary Carcinoma
