Comments:
Gross pathology of fibrous dysplasia: The affected bone is expanded. The lesion is well-demarcated and intramedullary. The lesional tissue is dense, fibrous, gritty, and has abnormal-looking tan-gray color. There may be cystic change or dense ossification within the lesion.
