Comments:
Leiomyosarcoma is the most common malignant soft tissue tumor arising in the bladder of adults. The age at presentation is usually between 60 and 75 yrs. with a slight male predilection. Exposure to cyclophosphamide therapy is a risk factor. This low power view shows a spindle cell proliferation with abundant myxoid stroma underneath an intact urothelial lining.
