Comments:
Prostate gland is richly innervated with both sympathetic and parasympathetic nerve fibers. Neurovascular bundles are located just outside the prostate on posterolateral aspects. The image shows a ganglion, many of which are present in periprostatic soft tissue. Sometimes, they may be found within the outer regions of prostate itself. In needle biopsies, they are usually located at one of the ends of the core.
