Comments:
This patient underwent orchiectomy for intractable pain caused by chronic epididymo-orchitis. The parietal layer of tunica vaginalis (near the top of the image) is lined by regular flattened mesothelial cells. The visceral layer of tunica shows reactive mesothelial hyperplasia. Clusters of mesothelial cells are also present within the stroma beneath the surface.
