Intestinal Ganglioneuromatosis

slide 10 of 27

Comments:
A typical intestinal ganglioneuroma demonstrates a proliferation of Schwann cells arranged in whorled fascicles. Ganglion cells may be prominent, or (as in this example) very sparse throughout the lesion. No atypia or necrosis is present.
