Wet keratin characteristic of adamantinomatous craniopharyngioma is not seen in the papillary subtype; however, collagenous nodules or whorl-like formations may be seen. Recent studies have found BRAF mutations v600E in papillary craniopharyngiomas (Ref: Nature Genetics, 46, 161-165, 2014.).
