Comments:
This image shows dermal component of an acral lentiginous melanoma consisting predominantly of fascicles of spindle-shaped melanocytes infiltrating through collagenous stroma. The tumor cells may aggregate around blood vessels and envelope eccrine structures. Mitotic activity is variable. There is little to no tendency to maturation in the deeper portions of the invasive tumor.
