Chromophobe Renal Cell Carcinoma

slide 4 of 5

Comments:
The nuclei are moderately sized and hyperchromatic. Bi- and multinucleated cells are not uncommon. Chromophobe RCC appears to have a better 5-yr disease-specific and progression-free survival than conventional (clear cell) RCC or papillary RCC. Am J Surg Pathol 2002 March; 26(3) 281-91.
