This example of clear cell renal cell carcinoma is massive which portends a worse prognosis. The tumor is composed of several bulging yellow nodules separated by tan gelatinous tissue. Gelatinous tissue may represent sarcomatoid transformation or myxoid degeneration, with the former associated with more aggressive behavior and higher Furhman grade.
