Leiomyosarcoma of Cervix

Topic: Mesenchymal Tumors

Category: Cervix

slide 2 of 3

Comments:
The diagnostic criteria are the same as those arising in the uterus. They may arise in a preexisting leiomyoma of the cervix or from the vascular smooth muscle. The image shows a proliferation of highly atypical smooth muscle cells with brisk mitotic activity.   return to Mesenchymal Tumors
