Comments:
Focal signet ring cell differentiation is commonly seen in mucinous adenocarcinomas of the bladder. The term signet ring cell carcinoma is applied when the tumor is almost entirely composed of signet ring cells. There is considerable overlap between the clinicopathologic features of signet ring cell carcinoma and plasmacytoid variant of urothelial carcinoma.
