Comments:
Cystic Adult Granulosa Cell Tumor (GCT) of the Ovary: Occasional cases of adult GCT are entirely cystic (unilocular or multilocular) and lined by a thick layer of granulosa cells. Often, the nearby areas show typical microfollicular, insular or trabecular pattern of granulosa cell tumor. Additional smaller cysts may also be seen within the cyst wall.

Clinically, cystic adult GCT are more likely to occur in younger women and produce androgenic manifestations (virilization). This low magnification view shows several smaller cysts within the wall of a larger cyst. Numerous Call-Exner bodies are discernible even at this magnification.
