Small foci in any given case of clear cell carcinoma may resemble dysgerminoma, yolk sac tumor, juvenile granulosa cell tumor, Krukenberg tumor, metastatic renal cell carcinoma, steroid cell tumor, and serous papillary carcinoma. However, the diagnosis is usually straightforward in most cases when various architectural patterns and cell types are taken into consideration.
