Comments:
Clear cell adenofibromas are composed of simple glands with round or oval shape. They are lined by simple cuboidal or flattened epithelium with clear or lightly eosinophilic cytoplasm. There is no cytologic atypia or increased mitotic activity. Solid sheets of clear cells or foci with papillary architecture are not seen. Areas of endometriosis are often present. These tumors must be thoroughly sampled to rule out borderline areas or foci of stromal invasion.
