Comments:
The rhabdoid appearance refers to large polygonal epithelioid cells with eccentric vesicular nuclei, prominent nucleoli, and abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm with paranuclear PAS+ve hyaline inclusion or globule. Ultrastructurally, these paranuclear inclusions consist of compact bundles or whorls of intermediate filaments (composed of cytokeratin). The tumor cells are arranged in large sheets which may be punctuated by foci of necrosis.
