Comments:
The glands are lined by cuboidal or columnar epithelium which is surrounded by a few layers of urothelial cells. This image shows the most common form of cystitis glandularis - the usual type (or the typical type). The less common type of cystitis glandularis is lined by mucinous and goblet cells and is called cystitis glandularis, intestinal type (also known as intestinal metaplasia and is described a few images later).
