Comments:
Low-grade fibromyxoid sarcoma (LGFMS) is a bland-appearing fibroblastic tumor of deep soft tissues which has metastatic potential. It usually involves lower extremities in young to middle-aged adults. The tumor is composed of bland spindle or stellate cells with small hyperchromatic nuclei in a myxoid stroma. The stroma may show gradual or abrupt transition from myxoid to fibrous. Mitotic activity is not increased.   return to Fibrosarcoma
