Comments:
This benign reactive process related to nodular fasciitis usually affects adults, but can sometimes be seen in children. One of the most important diagnostic features is the presence of large basophilic ganglion-like cells. The microscopic appearance may lead to the mistaken diagnosis of ganglioneuroblastoma or embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma.
