Topic: Spindle Cell Lipoma

Category: Lipomatous

slide 3 of 7

Comments:
When mature fat is scanty or absent, these cases may be mistaken for a neurofibroma or even a low-grade sarcoma. This slide is from a 70 y/o male with a large painless mass in the posterior neck. The gross specimen showed a lobulated, well-circumscribed yellowish white mass with firm consistency.   return to Spindle Cell Lipoma
