In acinar adenocarcinoma of lung, the major component forms round, oval, or irregular-shaped glands with a central lumen as seen here. Note the black anthracotic pigment. Pseudostratification of nuclei may result in formation of tufts which may be difficult to distinguish from papillary pattern.
