Comments:
Approximately 10% of lymphangiomas of the neck in children extend into the antero-superior mediastinum. This specimen is from a 4-yr old boy who presented with soft fluctuant mass in the anterior neck. The image shows lymphatic channels lined by attenuated endothelial cells. Lymphoid aggregates are present to the right.
