Comments:
Another high-power view of AILD showing polymorphic infiltrate composed of small lymphocytes, plasma cells, immunoblasts, and abundant eosinophils. Normal germinal centers are replaced by “burnt-out germinal centers.” Note proliferation of post-capillary venules. The patients are usually middle-aged and elderly. Most cases show monoclonal T-cell receptor gene rearrangements. Patients are at increased risk for secondary lymphomas. Prognosis is poor.   return to T-Cell Lymphomas
