Comments:
High power view shows numerous apoptotic cells and mitotic figures. Immunohistochemical profile: NEGATIVE: CD20, CD45, CD79a, CD30, ALK-1, bcl-1, myeloperoxidase, HMB-45, S-100, AE1/3 and EMA; POSITIVE: CD138 (strong) and kappa light chains (focal cytoplasmic), CD3 & CD5 (scattered cells). The histologic features and the immunohistochemical profile, especially the strong CD138 positivity, support the diagnosis.   return to B-Cell Lymphomas
