Comments:
Masses of acid-fast bacilli (globi) can be seen in some of the foamy histiocytes in this case of lepromatous leprosy. Eventually, these cells degenerate releasing bacilli into the tissues. Due to impaired cellular immunity, Lepromin test is negative in Lepromatous leprosy.   return to Lymphadenitides
