Comments:
Angiosarcomas of the spleen are rapidly fatal. This patient was an 80 y/o man who was brought to the emergency room with acute abdominal pain following spontaneous rupture of the tumor resulting in massive hemoperitoneum. Splenectomy specimen showed diffuse involvement by the tumor. Patient died shortly after admission.
