In spleens involved by mantle cell lymphoma, the white pulp is expanded by a proliferation of small lymphocytes with dense chromatin. Note the resemblance to small lymphocytic lymphoma / chronic lymphocytic leukemia; however, mantle cell lymphoma cells are usually negative for CD23.   return to Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma
