Comments:
This patient presented with generalized bruising and a platelet count of 12,000. Bone marrow findings were consistent with ITP. Due to lack of adequate response to steroids, splenectomy was done. The low power view shows prominent lymphoid follicles surrounded by foamy histiocytes.   return to Hypersplenism
