Metaphyseal Fibrous Defect (Non-ossifying Fibroma)

Topic: Non-ossifying Fibroma

Category: Tumor-like Lesions of Bone

slide 6 of 6

Comments:
Foamy histiocytes are often present. Small areas of reactive bone may be present if pathological fracture has occurred. If diagnosis is not in doubt radiographically, no treatment is needed. If necessary, the lesion can be treated by curettage.   return to Non-ossifying Fibroma
