Higher magnification view of the previous case. Treatment of chordomas is usually by wide local excision. Patients with unresectable tumor or where complete excision is not achieved usually receive radiation. Chordomas rarely metastasize and mortality is usually secondary to local effects of the tumor.   return to Chordoma
