Embryonal Carcinoma - CD30

Topic: Embryonal Carcinoma

Category: Testes

slide 10 of 12

Comments:
CD30 immunoreactivity (shown here) is seen in almost 85% of cases of embryonal carcinoma and is a useful diagnostic marker. The immunohistochemical profile of embryonal carcinoma is as follows: cytokeratin +, PLAP +, OCT3/4 +, CD30 +, EMA –ve, and c-kit –ve. When evaluating CD30 positivity in a poorly-differentiated neoplasm, one should keep in mind that anaplastic large cell lymphomas are also CD30 positive.   return to Embryonal Carcinoma
