Topic: Angiosarcoma of the Breast

Category: Rare Breast Tumors

slide 8 of 10

Comments:
Another example of intermediate grade angiosarcoma of the breast. Cytologic atypia is more pronounced than low-grade tumors. Enlarged hyperchromatic nuclei and increased mitotic activity are apparent. Numerous papillary fronds and endothelial tufts are seen. Five-year disease-free survival rate for intermediate-grade angiosarcomas is around 70%.   return to Angiosarcoma of the Breast
