Angiosarcoma of Breast - Intermediate Grade

Topic: Angiosarcoma of the Breast

Category: Rare Breast Tumors

slide 7 of 10

Comments:
In intermediate grade angiosarcomas of the breast, the proliferating endothelial cells form small buds or papillary fronds projecting into the vascular lumens. The anastomosing vascular channels have narrow collapsed lumens imparting a more solid appearance. This tumor arose in a pregnant female. Note the lactational change in the lobule on the left.   return to Angiosarcoma of the Breast
