Angiosarcoma of Breast - Low Grade

Topic: Angiosarcoma of the Breast

Category: Rare Breast Tumors

slide 4 of 10

Comments:
Higher magnification view (same case as previous image) shows freely anastomosing vascular channels lined by endothelial cells lacking cytologic atypia. Nucleoli are inconspicuous and mitotic figures are rare. Before their true nature was discovered, many of these cases were reported as "metastasizing hemangiomas."   return to Angiosarcoma of the Breast
