Comments:
There is a distinct variant of fibroadenoma that is large, hypercellular, and tends to occur in young adolescents - Juvenile Fibroadenoma. They occur more often in African-Americans and may be bilateral. The patient was an 11-year old African-American female who presented with a 7.0 cm left breast mass of 6 weeks’ duration which was excised.    return to Fibroadenoma
