Mucinous Cystic Neoplasm : Differential
Comments:
Differential Diagnosis of Mucinous Cystic Neoplasm (MCN): The main differentiation is from intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) and is discussed in the slide. Other differential is with pancreatic pseudocyst. Some cases of MCN show extensive denudation of the lining epithelium and can be difficult to distinguish from pseudocyst. Extensive sampling may identify small foci of residual mucinous epithelium or ovarian-type stroma.
