Comments:
They present in the elderly as multiloculated lesions filled with clear fluid. They are also referred to as glycogen-rich or serous cystadenoma. Numerous small cysts give the cut surface a spongy appearance. The cysts are usually lined by cuboidal epithelium with abundant clear cytoplasm. This is a benign tumor cured by excision. A malignant counterpart has been reported.   return to Microcystic Adenoma
