Fetal epithelial-type hepatoblastoma resembles mature hepatocytes, with relatively uniform nuclei and abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm. While most tumors of this histologic type grow in cords, focal acinar formations or cellular crowding may be present. Extramedullary hematopoiesis is represented by scattered hematopoietic precursors.
