Carcinoid Tumor

Comments:
The image shows an incidentally discovered carcinoid tumor in an appendectomy specimen. The tumor caused bulbous expansion of the tip of the appendix to almost 2.0 cm. Note a transverse section through the uninvolved appendix on the left.
