Comments:
Post-atrophic hyperplasia architecturally mimics adenocarcinoma but lacks the cytologic features. In difficult cases, the immunostain for high mol. wt. cytokeratin can be performed which would show at least a few basal cells in post-atrophic hyperplasia.
