Comments:
In some cases of alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, there is extensive necrosis and degeneration within the cellular nests leading to near total absence of viable cells. It leaves behind a sieve-like network of hyalinized fibrous trabeculae with vascular cores. The trabeculae are lined by a single layer of tumor cells and surrounded by necrotic cellular debris.
